An Interview with the Director of Military Affairs of
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for Paktika province

“And prepare against them what force you can and horses tied at the frontier (steads of war), to frighten thereby the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them, whom you do not know (but) Allah knows them; and whatever thing you will spend in Allah's way, it will be paid back to you fully and you shall not be dealt with unjustly. (Al Anfal 60)”

To proceed…
I seek refuge from Allah, from the cursed Satan. In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.
“And prepare against them what power you can.”
This Jihad on which you are upon is the true Jihad. Allah the Almighty says:
“And prepare against them what power you can…”
It is obligatory upon the Muslim to prepare whatever power he can to confront the infidels . So what then is the meaning of power? Its explanation is in the honorable hadeeth:
“Indeed, power is shooting, Indeed power is shooting, Indeed power is shooting.”Shooting with RPGs, RPKs and Kalashnikovs; all this is from shooting. Learning to shoot with these weapons is ‘power’ and includes shooting with the revolver, and driving a car with the intention of jihad is considered from the steeds of war. All this is considered preparation for terrifying the enemy of Allah and your enemy. The hardships we suffer in all this preparation is from Jihad, and learning to shoot these weapons, whether RPGs, RPKs or Kalashnikovs is a way to fight the infidels. Preparation is also considered Jihad. These works that we do are great in the sight of Allah, and Allah will reward you for it by His will, and you will see the result of this preparation during battle by the will of Allah. I ask Allah to accept this from us and from you. There is a great benefit to Jihad in training. I ask Allah to guide us to serve Jihad and to make these deeds a benefit to Jihad. I ask Allah to accept from us and from you, and to guide us and you to all good.”

Praise is to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet, Muhammad, and upon all his family and companions. Today on this blessed day, we will meet with our Mujahid brother, Mawlawi Sangeen, the Governor of Paktika. It is worth noting that Mawlawi Sangeen is from the very first of the Mujahideen who stood up against the Crusade in the land of Afghanistan. We welcome you. To start with, we would like to ask Noori Sangeen about your preparations for the summer operations inside Afghanistan?Mawlawi Sangeen:

When the Americans invaded Afghanistan, all the countries of the world allied with them, including the countries of the Islamic world. The Americans thought themselves to be smart, but they had no idea about what it meant to fight inside Afghanistan. They did not expect they will meet resistance, but by the Grace of Allah, when the Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate started fighting and resisting them, they began to publicize their wish to withdraw from Afghanistan. By the grace of Allah, the Mujahideen this year have succeeded in revealing the plans of the Americans in their military and propaganda war, and the huge experience that the Mujahideen have gained by fighting the Americans in recent years has had the greatest effect on that. This experience has enabled the Mujahideen to devise war plans equivalent to the American plans to confront them, both on the military and propaganda level. The resistance against America will be strong by the will of Allah, in all districts and provinces, and the Islamic Emirate has prepared all this comprehensive battle needs, and this year, by the will of Allah, will be the decisive year.
As-Sahab:
Mawlawi Sangeen, recently Obama stated that he does not have the capability to stay in Afghanistan. What do you think of this statement?Mawlawi Sangeen:
Previously, the Russians were forced to flee Afghanistan, and thus they instructed the Americans not to get involved in a fight inside Afghanistan, for coming out of it will be difficult. But the Americans did not pay heed to their advice, and instead were deceived with their power and capabilities. So they invaded Afghanistan while they were a great power, but certainly they will come out of it, by the will of Allah, as a devastated nation.The Russian experience in Afghanistan is known to all, but in spite of this, America was deceived by its own power, or someone else deceived them, and so it invaded Afghanistan. Today the battle is raging and the ground is burning underneath the feet of the Americans, for neither the people nor the land of Afghanistan accepts occupation.
History is witness to this fact, for the Russians fled quickly from Afghanistan, and Bush was well aware of that. The Americans will certainly be defeated, Allah willing, and today they looking for a way out because the earth has started to burn below their feet.
As-Sahab:
We would like you to give us an introduction and quick overview about the province that you govern, the Paktika province, and what preparations the Mujahideen have made for this summer.Mawlawi Sangeen:
All praise is due to Allah, when I was given responsibility for the military affairs of the Paktika province, I started organizing fighting units in all districts of the province. I gave the responsibility of these units to the capable Mujahideen, and I did not give consideration to any other factor in this. After assigning leaders in these districts, we tried to give them all they needed. We then started training the Mujahideen and preparing them with the latest fighting techniques, especially, remote control bombing and other fighting techniques. Allah willing, the fighting will be fierce in all the districts of Paktika.As-Sahab:
How is your relation with your brothers in Al-Qaeda and what is the level of cooperation between you?Mawlawi Sangeen:
All praise is for Allah, Al-Qaeda and Taliban all are Muslims and we are united by the brotherhood of Islam. We do not see any difference between Taliban and Al- Qaeda, for we all belong to the religion of Islam. Sheikh Usama has pledged allegiance to Amir Al-Mumineen (Mulla Muhammad Umar) and has reassured his leadership again and again. There is no difference between us, for we are united by Islam and the Sharia governs us. Just as the infidels are one people, so are the Muslims, and they will never succeed in disuniting the Mujahideen, saying that there is Al- Qaeda and Taliban, and that Al-Qaeda are terrorists and extremists. They use many such words, but by the Grace of Allah, it will not affect our brotherly relationship. Now they are also trying to disunite the Taliban, saying that there are two wings, one extremist and another moderate. However, the truth is that we are all one and are united by Islam.As-Sahab:
Lately the Americans have revealed their ugly faces, targeting civilians, the common folk, especially women and children in markets, houses and in weddings. If you could mention for us some of these massacres which occurred, and what you understand from this?Mawlawi Sangeen:
When the Americans invaded Afghanistan, they claimed that they would establish peace and stability in Afghanistan, but this claim was nothing more than evasiveness and deception. But when they invaded Afghanistan and were faced with a Mujahideen resistance, the Americans realized that they do not share anything with the Afghan people, whether in terms of nature or religion. It became clear to them that no matter what money or force of weapons they used, they would not be able to tempt the Afghani people away. The Americans understood that their end would be failure and they will have to flee Afghanistan in a state of humiliation. For this reason, they do not differentiate between the common people and the Mujahideen in their bombing, but rather they target all. Their policy is to spill the blood of Afghani people .When the Russians started losing due to the attacks of the Mujahideen, they employed the same policy of random bombing, storming of houses and killing women and children. This is the same thing the Americans are doing now. They are killing common folk instead of facing the Taliban, and they are bombing everyone. They see no difference between the common folk and the Mujahideen.
As-Sahab:
What is the condition of the enemies, both the Crusaders and the apostates, inside Afghanistan, and how are their movements?Mawlawi Sangeen:
All praise is due to Allah, the condition of the American occupiers and their apostate aides is very weak, to the extent that they cannot come out of their fortified bases. They have become trapped in them, to the extent that that they cannot travel even a few miles from their bases. Even when they receive information that the Mujahideen are planning operations at a distance of two or three miles from their base, they do not dare to come out to face them. The enemy controls nothing except their military bases, and the government does not exercise control except within the boundaries of its administration offices. They have no influence on the common folk, for the common folk now refer to the Taliban to solve their problems. The soldiers of the apostate government have started to surrender their weapons to the Mujahideen, and many of them write to the Taliban showing their readiness to surrender. This year the condition of the enemy is terrible and in constant degradation.As-Sahab:
A word you would like to dedicate to Ameer Al-Mumineen, Mulla Umar Mujahid.Mawlawi Sangeen:
All praise be to Allah, Amir Al-Mumineen is resolute, firm and has strong determination in face of this great test and trial. We hope that he continues in this steadfastness with strength and determination. By the will of Allah and His help, with this steadfastness and determination will come the end and defeat of America. The motto of Amir Al-Muminen in the beginning of the war was,“So do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers.” (Aal Imran 139)
All praise is to Allah, he is still steadfast on this principle and relies on Allah, not with any worldly means, by the Grace of Allah. The result of this resoluteness is that America and the Western world are in the pathetic condition that they have reached today.
As-Sahab:
To conclude, we would like you to give some advice to your Mujahideen brothers everywhere.Mawlawi Sangeen:
My statement to all the Mujahideen and Muslims is to hold fast to the saying of Allah,“So do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers.” (Aal Imran 139)
The Americans will be defeated by the will of Allah, and my expectations from the Muslims in general and the Mujahideen in specific is that they continue to hold fast to their goal and the aim they set out for, which is to raise the Word of Allah, that they turn to Allah, that they unite amongst themselves and not betray the blood of the martyrs and the sufferings of the orphans. Hold fast to your creed and religion. This is what I expect from you. Have patience for a short while, and the infidels will be defeated and will show their backs. The only thing the Mujahideen have to do is to turn to Allah with sincerity and cut off their connection with the worldly life. With this, the infidels will be defeated quickly by the will of Allah.
